Bay of Islands
I took an opportunity to take my family with me on a trip to the Bay of Islands, far north of the North Island of New Zealand. I hadn’t seen much of the North Island before, so it was great to have this experience.
Even though it was raining most of the time, the sun still peeped through the clouds once in a while.
Russell
Across the water in the small historic town of Russell I found so much beauty in this ancient-looking tree.
During a burst of pouring rain, we sought shelter in this little restaurant, The Gables.
A unique succulent garden, vertical, on the side of the fence.
A slippery sloped 20 minute walk up the muddy hill was definitely worth it for this view.
